About ECSA

What is the ECSA?

ECSA stands for Esher Church School Association.

We’re the parent teacher association for Esher Church School, run by parent volunteers and working closely with teachers and school staff to support our school and bring our community together.

And the most important thing to know? If you’re a parent or carer at ECS, you’re already part of the ECSA.

Some parents take on regular roles, others help at one event, donate a prize, share a useful contact or simply come along and join in. There’s no minimum commitment and no expectation to do everything.

THE ECSA IS ALL OF US, WORKING TOGETHER TO MAKE SCHOOL LIFE EVEN BETTER FOR OUR CHILDREN.

What we do

Build community

Bring families, teachers and the wider school community together through events, activities and shared experiences that make school life even more enjoyable.

Raise funds

Raise money through events, donations and fundraising initiatives to support projects, resources and opportunities that directly benefit our children.

Support the school

Work closely with the school to help turn ideas into reality, funding the extras that enrich learning, play and everyday school life.

How the ECSA works

TRUSTEES

Responsible for the ECSA’s governance, finances and making sure funds are used appropriately.

COMMITTEE & EVENT TEAMS

Parents who help coordinate events, fundraising, communications and specific projects..

CLASS REPS

A new parent volunteer from each class every school year, helping rally support for ECSA events, volunteering, fundraising and donations.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

The huge network of people who bake, marshal, decorate, sell tickets, run stalls, source prizes, share skills and much more.

How do we decide what to fund?

THE SCHOOL IDENTIFIES A NEED

Priorities can come from school leadership, teachers, staff, pupils and parents. We want teacher and child voices to play an increasing role in shaping where the ECSA funding can make the biggest difference.

THE ECSA REVIEWS THE REQUEST

Trustees and the committee consider the cost, benefit and available funds.

WE KEEP PARENTS INFORMED

Financial updates, purchases and upcoming priorities are shared through ECSA meetings and the AGM.

Purchases over £10,000 must be voted for by parents.

OUR COMMUNITY HAS A VOICE

Parents and carers are welcome to ask questions, share ideas and contribute to discussions.

Transparency matters to us. It’s your fundraising, your community and your ECSA.

Meet the Team

Plus our wider community, event leads, class reps and brilliant parent volunteers.
